Meet Marvin
Marvin was born in Hong Kong and is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. He is passionate about working with children, teenagers, their families, and schoolteachers to support them in participating in the tasks they need, want, and love to do.
Marvin values active listening to ensure clients and families feel heard, a family-oriented approach to build collaborative therapeutic relationships, and shared decision-making to support meaningful outcomes. He believes that building rapport is key to promoting therapy engagement and achieving therapeutic goals. Outside of work, he enjoys playing soccer, video games, cooking, and listening to music.
Marvin completed a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering before moving to Brisbane, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) from The University of Queensland. During his placements, he supported neurodivergent children in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and participation in school-based activities. These experiences have further strengthened his passion for working in paediatric occupational therapy.
